What we collect

When you join the early access list, we collect your email address. When you create an account, we store that email address so your cards can follow you to a new phone.

When you make a card in the Studio, the photo and the card are held on your own device. They stay there and go no further unless you do one of these things:

• Share a card, or open its code. The finished card, front and back, is uploaded so the person you sent it to can open it. Those cards are reachable by anyone holding the link or the code printed on the card, because that is what makes a scanned card work.
• Record a video card. The video is uploaded for the same reason.
• Save a card to your account. The finished card is uploaded and kept under your account so you can sign in on another device and still have it.
• Invite others to add photos to your set. Photos they upload are stored so you can pick from them. Only you, signed in, can see them.

The original photo you started from is never uploaded. What is uploaded is the finished card it was made into.

Your baby's name, birthday and birthplace, and the names and places you type on a card, are kept on your phone and printed on your cards. If you share a card, they are part of the card image that is uploaded, and anyone who has the link or the code can see them, so share a card the way you would share a photo.

CardMyBaby is made for parents and family. It is not directed to children, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

How we use it

• Your email is used to tell you about CardMyBaby's launch and product updates. You can unsubscribe from any email with one click.
• Cards you share, publish or save to your account are stored so they can be opened, scanned and recovered. They are used for nothing else.
• We do not use your photos or cards to train anything, and we do not show them to anyone you did not send them to.

Analytics

We use privacy-focused analytics (such as Microsoft Clarity) to understand how visitors use our site, including anonymized interaction recordings. This helps us fix problems and improve the product. See Microsoft's privacy statement for details on Clarity.

Deleting your account and your cards

You can delete your account at any time, from inside the Studio under Account, or from cardmybaby.com/delete-account. You do not have to install anything to do it.

Deleting your account removes your email address, your saved cards and the guest photos added to your sets. It happens immediately and it is not reversible.

Cards you already shared with other people are treated separately, and you choose. By default they keep working, because someone may be holding a copy of the card with that code on the back and deleting your account should not turn it into a dead link in a stranger's hand. If you want those gone too, tick the box when you delete, and they stop resolving.

Reporting a card

Every published card page carries a Report link. Anyone can use it, with or without an account. Reported cards are reviewed, and a card reported by two different people is hidden from view straight away while it is looked at.

Your photos and other people

You are responsible for having the right to use photos you put on cards, including photos that show other people. Do not create cards from photos you do not have permission to use. To request removal of content that includes you, contact us at the address below.

Children

CardMyBaby is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run the product (such as our email provider for the early access list) and only for that purpose.
